President William Ruto’s personal assistant Hon. Farouk Kibet yesterday 8th March, said that the president is working tirelessly to ensure Kenyans are relieved from the burden of high economic level especially high prices of essential commodities.

While speaking at lugusi Friend’s Boy’s High School in Malava sub county after bringing a fifty two seater bus that had been promised by H.E President William Ruto during the burial of the late Hon. Malulu Injendi as a sign of remembrance of his good work, Farouk Kibet assured the people of Malava that the government will do whatever possible to ensure that the constituency continues to glow in terms of development despite the demise of their area member of parliament.

Similarly, he added that the government will work once and for role in fulfilling the wants of Malava people and there by they shouldn’t get worried.

Malulu Injendi was a leader who had his strong political stand because as many MP’s in Kakamega County secured their victory in different general elections using the opposition parties, Our late brother who was a third time MP would use a party with a Presidential candidature from the government side”, stated Hon. Consequently, he called upon the people of Western to continue working with President William Ruto so as for them to benefit more from Kenya Kwanza government.

“My brothers and sisters of Malava let’s have a political stand. I advise you to remain united and focused. Let’s all support our President as you know very well that there’s no other competitor in 2027”,he advised accordingly.

The sentiments were echoed and supported fully by the Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi who wiped out the sentiments spoken by a few Kenyans that the merge of ANC and UDA parties depreciated his political outreach.

Musalia Mudavadi similarly, thanked the ODM and UDA partnership through signing of their working agreement that was conducted at KICC grounds in Nairobi and therefore also requesting Kenyan’s especially the people of Western to live by observing their example.

The education meeting conducted in Malava was attended by a few directors including the director of the CDF board Naomi Masista Shiyonga commonly known as “Mama Signal Network”, who appreciated President William Ruto’s support to the people of Malava.

Politicians urged to shun political differences A head Of The Burial Of The Late Malulu Injendi

Kakamega Pastors have warned politicians who will attend the burial ceremony of the late Malava MP Moses Malulu Injendi on march 4 to shun political differences and instead embrace peace, unity and integrity.

While speaking at the way world outreach church in Kakamega town after receiving gospel teachings from leader’s of United State’s Of America who had visited them to give teachings to enhance the growth of the church, the leader’s led by Kakamega County head of Interfaith Bishop Nicholas Olumasai, explained that the late member of parliament was God fearing who’s burial ceremony shouldn’t be interfered with political differences.

“Politicians to come at the funeral in a respectable manner. We don’t want politicians to take advantage of the funeral”, advised Bishop Nicholas Olumasai.

He said it will not be right for politicians to use the podium for hate speech revealing that the MP was a very peaceful and God fearing man amongst the MPs in Kakamega County and Western at large.

“Hon Malulu was a person who loved peace and all visitors are free to condole with the family during this difficult moment”, added the interfaith leader.

Consequently, he advised his colleagues to team up and work efficiently without much expectations from politicians.

C’S Of Sport’s Confirms AFCON Game’s To Happen From Kenya After Bukhungu Renovation Measures Taken

Cabinet Secretary (CS )for Sports Salim Mvurya today while in Kakamega County, has disclosed that Bukhungu international Stadium in Kakamega will be completed in readiness for hosting the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027.

The CS was speaking in today’s visit which was a follow up to the directions that was given by President William Ruto in his development tour in the region.

“Our visit today is to appreciate the work and also to make sure we inspire technical teams to work together and do periodic reviews beginning today and until the deadline is properly reached to completion”, said the Cabinet Secretary.

As the Stadium is one of those flagship projects in Kakamega County, the CS pledged to work together with the County leadership led by H.E governor Fernandez Barasa to ensure that the dream is realized in the Western Region.

Similarly, he disclosed that the international Stadium will be implemented in record, assuring the public that the national government is committed to ensuring the facility meets the required standards including offering a world-class venue for a variety of events.

“The 2027 AFCON is a great opportunity for our country, and we cannot afford delays in infrastructure development. I have instructed the Ministry of Sports to ensure Bukhungu Stadium is fully completed and ready for use ahead of the tournament,”explained the Cabinet Secretary.

The Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of Sports Peter Tum a long sided local leader, led by FCPA Fernandez Barasa the Kakamega Governor, who expressed confidence in the progress of the stadium’s construction.

“I assure each and every one that ; measures are being taken to meet the stringent requirements for hosting the tournament. Our Stadium Will play a pivotal role in enhancing sports development in the region”, explained H.E the governor.

He went on;

“As a county, we are excited about the opportunities this stadium will bring. It is not just about football but businesses, jobs, and prestige that come with hosting major sporting events,” Barasa said.

Apart from the Bukhungu international Stadium, the Ministry of sports is working in Bungoma County at Kanduyi Stadium which is 90 percent completion in the next few weeks adding that they’ll be fitting in 10, 000 seats

He highlighted that talent development and talent naturing in the country is the key factor and as a ministry they’ll continue to work with County governments to ensure that we have inspired young talents to realize their potentials.

Western Universities In Success After Mbele Centre Foundation Launched At Kakamega Masinde Muliro University Of Science And Technology.

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in partnership with Mbele Leadership Foundation from the United States Of America(USA ), an organisation Pioneering African-Centred Student Leadership Development, has launched a learning Centre into the institution to help learners in the region equip themselves with knowledge as a way of empowering the new generation in Africa with good Leadership.
Addressing the media after the commissioning of the Centre, Bishop Jawwaad Love and Dr. Tami Love from the organisation congratulated Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology for securing the launch due to many Universities that had sent their plea for the Commissioning of the hub.
“It’s a blessing for this University to be part of this inaugural launch. I feel like you are our extended family and I am sure you’ll be an institution to be looked upon”, spoke Bishop Jawwaad Love whose sentiments were echoed by Dr. Tami Love.
The leader consequently said that the level of education is changing worldwide and this should be articulated in most Countries that the education system is still slagging.


“We can colonize this education So that it has to be education. We can’t just be in one system for many years”, they explained.
The availability of the centre at Masinde Muliro University Will be an added advantage whereby eight classrooms will be housed.
Speaking on behalf of the University chair Dr. Pamela Sitienei who was a way on official state visit, the university Council representative George Lutomia thanked the Mbele Leadership foundation center through Bishop Jawwaad Love and Dr. Tami Love’s support, an act he said that will promote the interests of the University, as defined in the Strategic Plan.

“The establishment of the Centre will aid in the implementation of critical university policies with respect to academic matters, research, capacity building and governance. The space provided to set it up fits in the Master Plan and is consistent with the council’s objective. Kakamega Governor Pumps Efforts In The Education Ministry


H.E Fernandez Barasa Kakamega governor has laid down proper measures and techniques of ensuring that each and every one gets education.

Confirming the Governor’s sentiments to the Polytechnics principals that had gathered at Kakamega polytechnic on 6th January, the County Committee member of Education Bonface Okoth pledged that the County government through the Ministry of Education will pump in sh. 80 million in polytechnics so as to ensure that each and every student receives bursary allocation.


He expressed that last year the County government issued Sh. 240 million for bursaries and TVETs did not benefit much.


Similarly,  he disclosed that the government will disburse a total of sh. 180 million for bursaries and out of that sh.80 million will be allocated into the polytechnics

“From here all polytechnic principals to go home and ensure that all our students apply for bursaries and the ward administrators who are the secretaries in the ward bursary committee are mandated to ensure that the bursary forms are back on my desk ,” explained the County Executive Committee Member Of Education.
He called on the principals to take the responsibility of photocopying bursary forms and give out to all students so that no student fails to receive the allocation.


“All principals you must do photocopies, you can use your money. I know what I am talking about, when I was a principal I could photocopy those forms and give out by myself,” he revealed.
He urged residents to take full advantage of the ongoing bursary applications and highlighted the government’s dedication of ensuring that students from disadvantaged backgrounds access quality education


Okoth who was accompanied by the Education Chief Officer Mariam Were appealed to the treasury to release capitation funds early so that they can start planning.

Kakamega Gold Miner Who Has Impressed The Lives Of Many.

As many residents staying in the central part of Kakamega County especially  Shinyalu Sub County, Ikolomani and Lurambi do venture in gold mining practice for them to have their families sustained in a living, Andrew Likabo Lichoti from Khayega in Isukha South ward is on-going with his instrumental role of changing the lives of many natives in his respective home of residence especially the jobless youths who have been employed through his on-going road works in the area.

While speaking to Kakamega Journalist’s after confirming and making supervision over the on going construction of a 20Km murram road from Kakamega-Kisumu Highway passing through Buribuli to other parts of Shinyalu Sub County he stated that his main objective is the entire region to have good infrastructure especially good roads that are passable .

“My main aim is to ensure that every road in the interior part’s of this ward especially residents from  Buribuli, Busakala, Shidodo and many others get it easier to transport their products to the market especially here at  Khayega including our youth’s who do Bodaboda riding to have it easier daily without incurring road accidents that have been prone to happening daily”, he explained.


He continued that;


“Recently , while a mother was crossing to the other side of the bridge heading to some parts of shirulu sub location while on  a motorbike they accidentally fell incurring serious injuries on their bodies due to many potholes and this is one of the main challenges that I’ll continue working on it ”, he explained in an interview.

Kakamega residents have put a smile on their faces after the Coca -Cola Company commonly known as Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan rolled through in town, spreading joy and excitement to the residents preparing for the festive season on the 25th.

Inspired by the generosity of Santa Claus, the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan celebrates togetherness and spreads joy during this special time of year.

“I just came to town to run errands and, when I saw the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan at Quick Mart Supermarket, I decided to check it out only to win a goat and other giveaways, “stated Ishmael Yahuma.

Kakamega First Lady Calls The County Assembly To Make Their Recognition Of Office And Allocate Budget

The county governments through the Assembly’s leadership have been requested to mend a law that will enable the offices of the first Ladies to have a budget that will help in solving difficulties mainly early pregnancy and returning  dropped students back to class as a way of empowering the community.

Speaking in Kakamega town during  a mentorship programme to teen mothers from all over the County  who have reintegrated back to school, Kakamega’s first Lady Janet Kassily  Barasa reiterated that the  first ladies in all the counties are doing something quality like for the Lake region economic block, where they’ve a collaboration of working together to help the vulnerable community.

“As first ladies of the lake region economic block we use word of mouth advocacy network. We speak out because we have no other way, especially first spouses, we have no budgets to do so many things and each one of us is doing something in her county to ensure that we fight teen pregnancy”, She  explained.

Consequently, Dr. Janet Kassily added that;

“We need support in our offices, if we can have our agenda sensitive budget, so that we can be able to do activities especially taking care of the vulnerable in the community, the teen mothers, the women, the widows, the youth, then we’ll be able to solve many challenges that face the community”,

Similarly she appreciated a few partners who have come on board in Kakamega especially Too Pressed to Wait Organization, USAID and many others that have collaborated with her foundation in helping the community.

Education Cabinet Secretary Dr.Julius Ogamba Is calling each and every one staying against the law on land belonging to any academic institution in the Country to vacate as early as possible before facing the law of land grabbing.

While speaking few hours ago after the official openingof twelve Junior Secondary classrooms at Kakamega primary school, the cabinet secretary explained that he will ensure that any land grabbed despite whatever reasons Is brought back to the required school leadership.

“As the ministry of education We know the challenges that our schools are facing. An example was just mentioned by the head teacher of this School Dickson Wanyangu. I have just come to realize some of our school’s land is being grabbed by private developers. I was in Mombasa recently where I came across a similar problem and I promise to solve the issue without any favour”, hesitated  Dr. Julius Ogamba.

At that juncture, he requested the director’s of education from all the forty seven Counties to remain steadfast in ensuring that learning goes on as the Schools re-,open in early January.

“I want to tell  all our education directors in all the counties in the country to undertake a notice to ensure that each and every institution’s  land is protected and they get the land title deeds.”

“Similarly am going to work with the Ministry of Land to ensure all our institutions not just educational institutions but all other government institutions get their titles so that we can protect our land”, added the Cabinet Secretary.

Consequently,  he alluded that the government is doing everything possible to ensure that the transition to grade 9 is very smooth and does not cause damage or stress to the parents.

“We have come up with a strategy to build sixteen thousands classrooms to accommodate the grade 9 students and therefore  let no one challenge you that President William Ruto has negligence to our teacher’s because as I stand here today, six thousands teachers have been confirmed to be on permanent and pension. We are blowing another thirty thousands with an emphasis on science, so that our students have enough teachers”, he finalized.

“As I conclude this school we have a challenge in our lands which was partly taken. The court has made rulings more than five times. The last ruling was made while in Kisumu in may, where the court of appeal ruled that this land belongs to Kakamega, primary school. But unnfortunately, the private developer has moved to the Supreme Court to raise a case, kindly assist us so that we can acquire the title for this school”, finalized Dickson Wanyangu.

Speaking on behalf of the school fraternity, Dickson Wanyangu the School head teacher called upon the Minister of education to help them in securing a portion of land that is said to have been grabbed by a well abled business man.

“As I conclude this school we have a challenge in our lands which was partly taken. The court has made rulings more than five times. The last ruling was made while in Kisumu in may, where the court of appeal ruled that this land belongs to Kakamega, primary school. But unnfortunately, the private developer has moved to the Supreme Court to raise a case, kindly assist us so that we can acquire the title for this school”, finalized Dickson Wanyangu.
