“As first ladies of the lake region economic block we use word of mouth advocacy network. We speak out because we have no other way, especially first spouses, we have no budgets to do so many things and each one of us is doing something in her county to ensure that we fight teen pregnancy”, She explained.
Consequently, Dr. Janet Kassily added that;
“We need support in our offices, if we can have our agenda sensitive budget, so that we can be able to do activities especially taking care of the vulnerable in the community, the teen mothers, the women, the widows, the youth, then we’ll be able to solve many challenges that face the community”,
Similarly she appreciated a few partners who have come on board in Kakamega especially Too Pressed to Wait Organization, USAID and many others that have collaborated with her foundation in helping the community.

“ We are launching the programme first in Kakamega County because Kakamega County’s first lady has demonstrated her willingness and passion to address this issue in her capacity first as a mother an Educator and of course as the first lady supporting the efforts of the county, we look forward to achieving this together”, finalized the officer from too pressed to wait.
