Kakamega 2027: Awaiting Women Representative Calls For Luhya Unity.

Kenya’s presidential leadership revolves around two main communities only  because of disunity amongst other tribes.

While speaking in an interview in one of the Luhya vernacular radio stations, Winfred Asiko Abuti who’s a resident from  Khwisero Sub County reiterated that un like the Kikuyus and Kalenjins that have remained politically united since Kenya’s independence,  the People of Western Kenya especially those of Kakamega have always remained to be in disunity .

Hon Abuti who’s eyeing the Women Representative seat for Kakamega County in the next general elections of 2027, stated that the Luhya’s have to stop that  illicit behaviour and also that of receiving handouts from various Aspiring leaders whenever an election period approaches.

“The only way we can secure leadership of this Country is to put our votes into one basket. Its painfully amongst ourselves that political leaders from other tribes have known us to be always financially unstable and there by buying our votes”, said Hon Abuti Winfred

She continued;

“Our leaders we have put in the forefront have failed us by creating disunity amongst themselves and that being the main cause of our  failure”,

She advised that the people of Western Kenya should make use of their huge population to secure different political seats in this Country.

“According to the 2019 census, Kikuyus constitute 17.1% of our total population . We then take the second position of 14.3% closely followed by our brothers the Kalenjins with 13.4%, but it’s painful that the Kalenjins that are third in number, have produced the head of state twice now un like we that have continued with hatred amongst ourselves and there by failing to produce a president”, she spoke painfully advising the Luhya Gen-Z’s to unite.

Consequently, she has applauded the good  Courageous and braveness of the governor of Transnzoia George Natembeya and that of Mumias East member of parliament Hon. Peter Kalerwa Salasya as the only leaders who can lead the Luhya people towards the rightful direction.
