Kakamega Family Calls For Justice For Their Daughter’s Sexual Harassment By A School Chaplain

A family from Khwisero Constituency in Kakamega County is living in fear of their fifteen year old grade nine girl being kidnapped by a church reverend.

Speaking to Western News Express Journalist’s, Tabitha Ayeko who’s the girl said that the reverend who’s also their School’s chaplain has been prone to supporting her financially with an intention of there being romantic love amongst the two but after she realized the intention she turned down the Bishop’s wants and after that she has always been being threatened by the fifty five years old gentleman causing her life to be in fear.

Similarly, she explains that despite sharing the information to the responsible leaders of her school of Emulole Primary and Junior Secondary school including the school principal so far no action has been enacted and now her life remains in danger,  responsible offices including that one  of the women representative of Kakamega Hon. Elsie Muhanda and that of the first lady Dr. Janet Kassily Barasa amongst many others being called on board to address the matter with immediate effect.

The grade nine pupil consequently explains that the love affairs between her and the Chaplain of the school has been there for the last eight months, an act she said that it forced her to remain silent over the matter because she feared losing the Bishop’s financial support.

“My father and mother have always struggled to put food on the table. It’s the situation that forced me to have no otherwise but do what the Reverend demanded. I am requesting for any financial and academic support to anyone good heartedly”, explained Tabitha Ayeko.

It’s an act  that has created a lot of tension to the residents of Mundoberwa sub location especially those who have young children who travel for long distances towards the school because the reverend is being said to have a habit of approaching young school girls while on their way and forcing them to have love affairs.

The parents of the fifteen year’s old girl also claims to have no support from the respective leader’s of Khwisero in a manner that the police officers of Khwisero police station including the OCPD in lign with those of Khwisero Sub County hospital aren’t handling the Matter in an orderly way.

“Our request is to the Women Representative alongside Our first lady Dr. Janet Kassily Barasa to help us get justice”,they explained.

“I tried so much I could so as to meet  my Colleague so as for us to have a discussion but it wasn’t fruitful. Since the allegations he hasnt been coming to church as usual. Let the law take its Course”, explained Javan Khainga.

On the other hand,  getting the reply of the suspect reverend it has been unsuccessful since yesterday 17th April as he’s not picking our calls.

It’s an act that has been cautioned by a few leaders in the respective Sub County including his fellow Church members led by Bishop Javan Khainga who requested for an immediate action to be taken despite the suspect holding a church position of being a reverend.
