Education Cabinet Secretary Dr.Julius Ogamba Is calling each and every one staying against the law on land belonging to any academic institution in the Country to vacate as early as possible before facing the law of land grabbing.
While speaking few hours ago after the official openingof twelve Junior Secondary classrooms at Kakamega primary school, the cabinet secretary explained that he will ensure that any land grabbed despite whatever reasons Is brought back to the required school leadership.
“As the ministry of education We know the challenges that our schools are facing. An example was just mentioned by the head teacher of this School Dickson Wanyangu. I have just come to realize some of our school’s land is being grabbed by private developers. I was in Mombasa recently where I came across a similar problem and I promise to solve the issue without any favour”, hesitated Dr. Julius Ogamba.
At that juncture, he requested the director’s of education from all the forty seven Counties to remain steadfast in ensuring that learning goes on as the Schools re-,open in early January.

“I want to tell all our education directors in all the counties in the country to undertake a notice to ensure that each and every institution’s land is protected and they get the land title deeds.”
“Similarly am going to work with the Ministry of Land to ensure all our institutions not just educational institutions but all other government institutions get their titles so that we can protect our land”, added the Cabinet Secretary.
Consequently, he alluded that the government is doing everything possible to ensure that the transition to grade 9 is very smooth and does not cause damage or stress to the parents.
“We have come up with a strategy to build sixteen thousands classrooms to accommodate the grade 9 students and therefore let no one challenge you that President William Ruto has negligence to our teacher’s because as I stand here today, six thousands teachers have been confirmed to be on permanent and pension. We are blowing another thirty thousands with an emphasis on science, so that our students have enough teachers”, he finalized.
The ceremony was attended by the County director of education Hellen nyang’au who applauded the good work being performed by the C’s .

“As Kakamega County, we were given one hundred and sixty nine classrooms during the first phase and two hundred and thirty five in the second phase and we really appreciate it. The second phase, we are at 75%. And I want to tell you, sir, that we have very good contractors”, explained Kakamega County Director of education.
Speaking on behalf of the school fraternity, Dickson Wanyangu the School head teacher called upon the Minister of education to help them in securing a portion of land that is said to have been grabbed by a well abled business man.
“As I conclude this school we have a challenge in our lands which was partly taken. The court has made rulings more than five times. The last ruling was made while in Kisumu in may, where the court of appeal ruled that this land belongs to Kakamega, primary school. But unnfortunately, the private developer has moved to the Supreme Court to raise a case, kindly assist us so that we can acquire the title for this school”, finalized Dickson Wanyangu.
